THE WHY BEHIND MY PHOTOGRAPHY
I’ve spent most of my life behind a camera and if there’s one thing photography has taught me, it’s how quickly life moves. The babies grow up. The kids leave home. Families change. People we love become memories. And somehow, the ordinary moments we barely noticed while we were living them become the ones we would give anything to have back.
That’s why I photograph.
I want to remember the way it felt. The belly laughs, the little hands wrapped around yours, the wind blowing through your hair, the way your person looks at you when you aren’t paying attention. The chaos, the happy tears, the people you love all together in one place. All of it.
For me, photography has always been deeply personal. I know what it means to look back at a photograph and realize just how valuable it has become. I know the comfort of being able to see a face, a smile, or a season of life that you can’t go back to. It’s why I never take lightly the privilege of being invited into your lives and trusted with your memories.
My hope is that years from now, your photographs will bring you right back here... to this version of your family, this season of your life, this love, and all the little things you didn’t realize you’d miss so much.
