I don’t think there was a single moment that wasn’t filled with love, laughter and the people who mean the most to these two.

I’ve been away soaking up some special time with my girl, but I’ll be back behind the computer soon and I cannot wait to dive into this gallery.

I don’t think there was a single moment that wasn’t filled with love, laughter and the people who mean the most to these two.

I’ve been away soaking up some special time with my girl, but I’ll be back behind the computer soon and I cannot wait to dive into this gallery.

Can I let you in on a little secret?…. Five, ten years from now, you aren’t going to notice the laundry basket in the corner or the piece of hair that wouldn’t cooperate. You’re going to notice the way your little boy reached for your hand, how your daughter wrapped her arms around your neck, or the smile your husband gave you when he thought no one was looking…

One of the biggest reasons people put off family photos is because they’re waiting. Waiting to lose a few pounds. Waiting for life to slow down. Waiting for the “perfect” time.
But here’s the thing... that perfect version of life never really comes. So if you’ve booked a session (or you’re thinking about it), here’s my biggest advice -

Don’t stress about everyone matching perfectly. Pick a few colors that look nice together and call it a day. Your family doesn’t need to look like they walked out of a catalog. Feed the kids before you get there. Trust me on this one. 😂 maybe bring a few snacks, too. Wear something you feel good in. And most importantly... let your kids be kids. If they want to run barefoot, collect shells, twirl in the grass, or chase each other down the beach... let them.
Those are usually the photos you end up loving the most.

Because years from now, you won’t remember whether everyone was standing perfectly still.

You’ll remember exactly how this season of life felt.

And that’s the part I want to give back to you.

Happy National Photography Day 🤍

20 something years ago I picked up a camera and had absolutely no idea where it would take me. I never ever could have imagined the people I would meet, the places I would travel, the stories I would get to witness or the incredible moments I would be trusted to preserve. Photography has given me a front-row seat to some of life’s most beautiful chapters. Weddings, newborn babies, growing families, graduations, anniversaries and all of the little amazing moments in between.

Most of all, this thing I call a job has taught me just how quickly time passes and how valuable photographs become. I’m beyond grateful for every person who has stepped in front of my camera and trusted me with their memories over the years.

What a GIFT this has been. 🤍

Spent the evening with the Anderson crew and honestly, sessions like this are always my favorite kind of work.

@bri_anne_alyssa and I have mostly embraced our membership in the “single wives club” while our husbands spend so much time in Tallahassee… so naturally family pictures turned into a mix of laughing, catching up, and trying to convince teenage girls to tolerate us for just a few more photos.

The girls are at that super fun teenage stage where they’re beautiful, quick-witted, and just sarcastic enough to keep all of us entertained the whole time. The light showed off, we laughed a lot, and somehow in the middle of it all we captured the sweetest moments together.

Spent the evening with the Anderson crew and honestly, sessions like this are always my favorite kind of work.
